Brian has been spearheading Qworkshops which allows several different creatives to discuss their process and answer questions from the public at large. Yellow K Records


Josh Grapes from Yellow K records joins us for today’s show. Josh has always dreamed of opening a record store and it happened this October 2016. Yellow K is also the name of his indie record label and their acts have been featured in Rolling Stone and Pitchfork. Josh has always had a special connection with music and he has a great passion for connecting with people, and providing a space which allows for hours of discovery of artists and genres of music.

Highlands American Music Series


Gregg Wolff the founder and chairman of the Highlands American Music Series is (back see episode 24 ) to discuss this newly formed non-profit continuing 12 year a history of brining American Music to our area. Gregg with other the other board members are starting with two concerts being held Fall 2016 and Spring 2017, featuring national touring acts the Gibson Brothers and Tim O’Brien. Each event will be held at the Palace Theatre in Frostburg Maryland a great intimate venue.

Indie Lit Festival




Jen Browne the head of Frostburg State University’s Center for Literary Arts joins us to discuss the 10th annual Indie Lit Festival.  The festival is taking place October 14-15 2016 in Frostburg Maryland and will feature panel discussions, readings, and 30 independent presses.  This event is FREE and open to the public and not to be missed. Queen City Film Festival 2016




David and Eve are back with 69 new films in eight categories that will be shown from October 6-9 2016 at the Ramada Inn in Downtown Cumberland. This is the fifth annual Queen City Film Fest and they are excited to be offering several films made in or about Maryland. The process for making this festival a success starts in April by reviewing submissions, selecting films and putting together a fantastic film festival.  They have included their  top three picks for films not to miss, buy your tickets and support this great non-profit

Heidi Gardner; One Act Play Festival


Heidi joins us to discuss the 7th annual One-Act Play Festival that is being held September 24 at the Palace Theatre in Frostburg MD. This is the one and only festival in our area to feature new original work. Three One-Act plays will be performed and a discussion will take place after each performance.

The Center of Literary Arts is located at 22 East Main Street in Frostburg, MD they host several events throughout the year including the Indie Lit. Fest happening Oct. 14-15 2016.
